Recently, a conference on propaganda and ideology of central enterprises was held in Beijing. Weng Jieming, deputy director of SASAC and member of the Party Committee, attended the meeting and delivered a speech.

Weng Jieming pointed out that to do a good job of propaganda and ideological work of central enterprises, we should take Xi Jinping's new era of socialist thought with Chinese characteristics as the guide, fully implement the spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress and the 2nd and 3rd Plenary Sessions of the 19th CPC Central Committee, thoroughly study and implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important ideas about propaganda and ideological work, implement the spirit of the National Conference on Propaganda and Ideology, the National Conference of Propaganda Ministers and the meeting of the heads of central enterprises and local state-owned enterprises committees. It has always emphasized the primary political task of studying, publicizing and implementing Xi Jinping's thought of socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era, closely focused on the main line of celebrating the 70th anniversary of the founding of New China, consciously assumed the mission of holding up the banner, gathering the people's hearts, educating new people, promoting culture and developing the image, adhered to the principle of making progress in the midst of stability, guarding the right and innovating, made efforts to implement the system of responsibility for ideological work, and made efforts to strengthen the news propaganda and public opinion guidance, and made efforts to promote spiritual civilization and corporate cultural construction. It will strive to promote spiritual civilization and enterprise culture construction, strive to improve international communication capacity, provide strong ideological guarantee and powerful spiritual force for the reform and development of central enterprises and Party construction, and welcome the 70th anniversary of the founding of New China with excellent achievements.

Weng Jieming emphasized that: we should insist on holding the banner high, and grasp the primary political task of studying and publicizing and implementing Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era; we should insist on observing justice and innovation, and enhance the sense of responsibility and mission of publicity and ideological work; we should insist on highlighting the main line, and sing the soaring melody of praising the new China and striving to advance into a new era; we should insist on serving the overall situation, and create a good public opinion environment for the reform and development of central enterprises; we should insist on the leadership of the Party, and comprehensively strengthen the reform and development of central enterprises, and the Party construction to provide strong ideological guarantee and spiritual strength. Adhere to the leadership of the Party, comprehensively strengthen the central enterprises propaganda and ideological front of self-construction, the courage to take on the mission, forge ahead, and strive to create a new situation for the propaganda and ideological work of the central enterprises.

Xia Qingfeng, director of the Propaganda Bureau of SASAC, made a working report, comprehensively summarizing the work of propaganda and ideology of central enterprises in 2018, and deploying the work of propaganda and ideology of central enterprises in 2019. Seven central enterprises, including Aviation Industry Group, Hydrocarbons Industry Group, CNOOC, China First Heavy Industries, Chalco, China Building Materials and China Railway, made speeches at the meeting. SASAC departments and bureaus, inspection office, reform office, discipline inspection and supervision group in the Commission, directly under the unit, directly managed by the association responsible comrades to participate in the meeting. The responsible comrades of party committees (party groups) and the responsible comrades of propaganda and ideology departments of the central enterprises attended the meeting at the branch venues.
